So in the past week, I have had some interesting wake-up calls. Usually it's my Superman-themed alarm clock that is low on batteries that may or may not decide to ring and wake me up. Luckily, my internal clock isn't too bad. My internal clock, however, doesn't usually wake me up at 5am on a Saturday and following Sunday. My neighbor, however, decided for some reason to play some Native American flute music at just those times last weekend. I woke up, and I couldn't decide if I was dreaming hallucinating, or being haunted (I'm reading a book on hauntings, so that didn't help). Once I put my ear to my neighbor's wall, I discovered the source. At least it was sooting once I knew it wasn't a spirit coming to reap my soul. My internal clock also doesn't account for natural events such as earthquakes. I awoke from a restless slumber to my bed shaking, and my mind immediately went to haunting, then to dreaming, then to hallucinating. Alas, twas only an earthquake! What new ways will I be roused from unconsciousness next week? Stay tuned...
